Mindfulness Meditation for Anxiety Group

One of the weekly groups that CAPS typically offers is Mindfulness Meditation for Anxiety. In this group, students will learn and practice mindfulness meditation to cultivate attention to the present moment and
tame automatic stress and anxiety reactions. Readings and homework exercises are given to enhance participants' learning and ability to incorporate new practices in their day-to-day life.

This group requires that interested students speak with the group leader before or at the start of the quarter in which the student would like to participate to ensure it's a good fit for their needs and fits in with their schedule. The group is "closed," meaning that students are signed up for the quarter, and the same students attend for the quarter (rather than new people dropping in week to week).
