Let's Talk

Are you ...

  • Thinking about a question or concern that would benefit from a brief consultation with a counselor?
  • Curious about counseling and want to find out more about it?
  • Concerned about a friend or family member and would like information or advice?
  • Interested in a counselor’s perspective but hesitant to try out counseling?

If any of the above applies, CAPS has a program just for you! Let’s Talk is a drop-in service offering students a chance to stop by different locations around campus for a brief, confidential conversation with a professional counselor to receive consultation, support, advice, and/or referrals.  Let’s Talk is held several afternoons a week (see schedule, below).

Let’s Talk consultations are

  • Free
  • Confidential and anonymous
  • Drop in: No appointment necessary

Times and locations occasionally change from quarter to quarter. This page is the best place to find the most up-to-date information, and we also often post updates on our Facebook pagePlease note that Let's Talk is not offered on holidays when CAPS is closed, during the summer, over winter break, or during finals weeks.

Below is the Let's Talk schedule for spring quarter 2017 (starting April 10th).

Please consider calling CAPS directly at (831) 459-2628 if you need to talk with someone when Let's Talk is not available or if you are having a crisis. Let's Talk is not set up to handle crisis situations. Read more about our crisis services for information.
