Summer 2022

Maintaining mental health and successful academic functioning these past two years during COVID-19 has been and continues to be very stressful. Navigating a global pandemic while simultaneously coping with both personal and ever evolving worldwide, national, and local concerns is challenging for all of us, and you may find yourself experiencing anxiety, depression, and other emotions in response. In addition, there are many uncertainties and constantly changing practices that are impacting your life as a student: Will my classes be remote or in person? Will I be living on campus, off-campus, or with my family? Do I have COVID-19 or not? Will I be able to see my friends and family?

The challenges and stressors continue, and we want you to know that CAPS is here to support you. We can help you learn how to manage stressors, build new skills and increase your confidence, resolve problems, and identify alternatives to help you be successful as a UCSC student. We are committed to providing timely, culturally appropriate, and effective mental health services to all UCSC students, as well as consultation to faculty, staff and families. CAPS is here for you for any concern or problem – so please explore our website to learn about our different programs and contact us for more information.
