Office location and hours: CAPS is on 525 McLaughlin Drive, across the street from Colleges 9 & John R. Lewis College. We are on the 2nd floor of the Cowell Student Health Center building, above the Pharmacy.

Our after-hours crisis line is available 24/7, including weekends and holiday breaks. Call (831) 459-2628 and select option 3 to speak with an on-call crisis counselor. They can provide immediate phone support, safety planning, and referrals.

Communicating with your mental health clinician
You can communicate directly with your mental health clinician through Health e-Messenger by responding to a secure message from your provider. However, do not use Health e-Messenger for urgent or emergency situations, as the recipient may not see your message immediately. In such cases, call the CAPS main office or dial 911.
Please avoid using email to communicate with your provider, as it is not secure and may not be timely, especially in emergencies. CAPS uses email only for automated appointment reminders. If you email a staff member, they will direct you to communicate via phone or Health e-Messenger.
