Amy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who received a master’s degree in social work from the University of California, Berkeley. Her work with multicultural youth and adults in community-based settings have highlighted the impact of broad societal forces on personal well being. Her professional and personal experiences have shaped her perspective on the importance of culture, biology, relationships, life experiences, and spirituality in our identity formation, challenges, and opportunities.
Amy has significant training and experience with attachment, grief, trauma, anxiety and depression. She integrates a range of perspectives, such as interpersonal neurobiology, trauma, and mindfulness. Her therapeutic approach includes psychodynamic, DBT, somatic, and cognitive behavioral therapies.
