Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a BA in Human Development from UCRiverside and MSW from the University of Southern California, and over 30 years of experience in individual, couples, family, and group therapy on both coasts, and licensure in three different states. Has worked in mental health, child welfare, healthcare, palliative and end-of-life care, as well as residential treatment and school-based prevention/intervention programs focused on child abuse and juvenile delinquency.
Certified in teaching High Risk Parenting, Resolve Through Sharing group treatment for pre/peri-natal demise, Forensic Interviewing of Child Victims, and the Science & Art of Herbal Therapeutics. Has completed the MBSR program, a year long course on Balance, Self-Care and Resiliency, a week-long residency training on Buddha, the Brain & Bach on the intersection of neuroscience, music and mindfulness, and is currently working on a certification in Mindfulness & Psychotherapy.
Expertise and interest in the areas of sexual abuse/assault; people raised in nontraditional homes, including foster care, guardianship, and adoption; student athletes and musicians; living with serious or chronic illness; death and dying; grief and loss; mindfulness; and integrative therapies. Currently providing workshops about ADHD, and introduction to psychiatry care and psychotropics.
