Danielle is a licensed psychologist with experience supporting clients who present with both acute and complex trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, relationship or family problems, and developmental or adjustment concerns in a variety of settings. She is also a clinical supervisor for postodctoral fellows and psychology interns and loves supporting the training of the next generation of therapists. Danielle identifies as white, cisgender, heterosexual, and as a first-generation college student.
Danielle’s approach to therapy is centered on creating a strong therapeutic relationship. Her approach is fundamentally trauma-informed, and grounded in multicultural, feminist, and relational perspectives on therapy. She believes that good therapy allows for increased insight, understanding, and compassion -and- also supports making change when needed. Her work often integrates skills and strategies from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; she is actively learning more about somatic and emotion-focused approaches to healing as well. Danielle has special interests in supporting those recovering from traumatic experiences including sexual or relationship violence, struggling with thoughts of suicide or self-harm, and working with first-generation students.
