Emily is a White, cisgender female currently pursuing her Psy.D. at Alliant International University in Los Angeles. She completed a year-long placement at USC Counseling and Mental Health and looks forward to being a part of the UCSC CAPS team. She has experience in individual, couples, and group therapy alongside outreach programs. Emily approaches therapy through a trauma-informed lens and a feminist perspective. She practices psychology from an integrative approach with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness to meet students’ needs.

Emily’s clinical interests include anxiety disorders, OCD treatment, women’s issues, sexual and gender identity development, and interventions aimed at LGBTQ+ youth. She has experience with a wide array of populations including adult populations (ages 18-60), families experiencing grief, LGBTQ+ identified clients, developmentally disabled adult clients, and both undergraduate and graduate students. Emily believes in meeting clients where they are at with empathy and respect to collaboratively form goals for treatment.
