About: Julie is a licensed clinical social worker. She grew up in Virginia and recieved her Bachelor of Social Work from James Madison University. She later attended graduate school in New York City at Columbia University, prior to moving to California. She is a cisgender female and first generation college student. Julie is passionate about helping those who struggle with their mental health. She has worked in various settings, including community outeach, crisis response, inpatient psychiatric and private practice. 

Areas of specialization and interest: Julie specializes in helping people who struggle with anxiety, OCD, and depression. She also has extensive experience working with the LGBTQ population. Julie seeks to create an environment that is nonjudgemental, where people feel that they can be themselves. She enjoys helping others identify and work toward their goals, creating the life they want to live. She primarily uses cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused techniques.  

Julie has been a social worker for seventeen years, in Virginia, New York and California. She's worked with clients of all ages from diverse backgrounds. She specalizes in anxiety, OCD, and depression, using a cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused approach.
