Let's Talk Drop-in Program
What is Let's Talk?
Are you a UCSC student who is ...
- Thinking about a question or concern that would benefit from a brief consultation with a counselor?
- Experiencing racial trauma during these times?
- Worried about social and racial injustice or other current topics?
- Curious about counseling and want to find out more about it?
- Concerned about a friend or family member and would like information or advice?
- Interested in a counselor’s perspective but hesitant to try out counseling?
If any of the above applies, CAPS has a program just for you! Let’s Talk is a drop-in service offering students a chance to stop by virtually on zoom or different locations around campus for a brief, confidential conversation with a professional counselor to receive consultation, support, advice, and/or referrals. Let’s Talk is held several afternoons a week during fall, winter, and spring quarters (except on holidays, winter and spring breaks, and finals weeks).
We provide both in person and Zoom Drop-in options
- Students will meet with a counselor one at a time. If you are placed into the virtual waiting room, please wait and your turn will come up soon.
- Sessions are 20 minutes on average.
- All students are welcome.
Let’s Talk consultations are FREE, confidential and drop-in: No appointment necessary!
Let's Talk is offered Monday through Friday. The schedule is listed on the CAPS Calendar.
